Effect of Low Tube Voltage (100 kV) Combined with ASIR-V on the Visualization and Image Quality of the Adamkiewicz Artery: A Comparison with 120 kV Protocol

Objective: To evaluate the effect of low tube voltage (100 kV) combined with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction-V (ASIR-V) on visualization and image quality Adamkiewicz artery (AKA). Methods: One hundred patients were prospectively enrolled randomly assigned into two groups (both n = 50). Group A was reconstructed filtered back projection (FBP) ASIR-V from 10% to 100% intervals. B (120 only FBP. The objective evaluated by using CT values aorta (CTAorta), background noise, signal-to-noise ratio descending (SNRAorta), contrast-to-noise spinal cord (CNRSpinal cord). subjective scores AKA assessed a 5-point scale. Results: CTAorta significantly higher in than (p < 0.001). When weights ≥60%, significant differences found SNRAorta, CNRSpinal between (all p 0.05). In A, compared FBP, score gradually increased as 80%, which decreased when exceeded 80%. (≥60%) ability detect vessel continuity (≥80%) effective radiation dose reduced about 40.36% B. Conclusions: conventional scanning protocol, combination 80% protocol could not increase AKA, but also improve reduce doses.
